Motiv Design worked closely with Nutribullet to strategically develop a portable blender that offered unique features while optimizing cost. Research identified cleanability and weight as key pain points, leading to a fully disassemblable, dishwasher-safe system with a detachable cup for on-the-go use. The updated design modernizes Nutribullet’s visual language with refined detailing including a unique sculptural treatment for their recognizable "wave" profile, celebrating the coupling point. Every element was optimized for compactness, including a cup-holder-friendly diameter and a collapsible handle that prevents accidental lid release. The product has gained placement in major retailers such as Target, Walmart, Kohls, and Amazon.
The design language strived to modernize and refine the Nutribullet DNA, while also capturing queues from modern drinkware trends.
We strived to achieve a leakproof and child safe product. Integrating these functional requirements in elegant and compact ways.
