CHROMA 01

One of my neighbors, in the artist studio building that I live in, invited me to participate in a group gallery art show in our ground floor gallery space. The prompt for the show was to celebrate color. Inspired by the artist James Turrell, the movie "Arrival" by Denis Villinenue, and products from Gantri, I set out to create a sconce utilizing a combination of 3D printing and laser cutting. I mocked up a DIY vaccum former to sculpt the laser cut acrylic into the profile I was striving for.
